About

Ray Chen is a founding member of AVPN and an advisor of AVPN to the Pan Asia market.

He is also President and Co-founder of B Current Impact Investment, the first impact fund in Taiwan, launched in 2014, aiming to invest in early-stage impact-driven businesses that focus on sustainability, healthcare, education, and regional revitalization, aligning with the SDGs. He and B Current serve as a bridge between social entrepreneurs and HNWI/ESG investors and a platform to fill the impact investing ecosystem gap by connecting financial, human, intellectual, and social capital.

Ray has devoted himself to the movement of social entrepreneurship and impact investment since 2007. He co-founded Taiwan's first research initiative on social entrepreneurship at Fu-Jen Catholic University in 2007, B Lab Taiwan in 2016, Rotary Club of Taipei Social Enterprise in 2018, and Taiwan Impact Investing Association (tiia) in 2020. He currently serves as Vice-chair at tiia, Deputy Principal at School 28, the first social innovation school in Taiwan for young professionals, and Chair of Taipei Victory Social Welfare Foundation to enable the disabled.

Previously, Ray was a Partner at Andersen Business Consulting, Deloitte Consulting, and ABeam Consulting. One of Ray's dreams is to foster social innovation and impact investing, growing with his 14-year-old son, Jeremy.
