Tsutomu Horiuchi


Mr. Tsutomu Horiuchi is a Professor & Vice President of the Center for Social Investment (CSI) of Tama University since June 2018. He also serves as a Director & Trustee of Tamura Gakuen, Trustee of Azabu Gakuen, Trustee of Japan Social Impact Investment Foundation (SIIF), a Founding member & Director of Asia Society Japan Center (Co-Chair of Arts Committee) and a Director of Kawamura Arts and Cultural Foundation. Mr. Horiuchi was a Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive Managing Officer of Mori Building Co., Ltd. from July 2007 to June 2015. He was also responsible for the operations of Mori Art Museum (MAM) and Academy Hills of Mori Arts Center.

Prior to joining Mori Building, Mr. Horiuchi worked for Goldman Sachs Japan after his extensive career at the Industrial Bank of Japan group (current Mizuho Financial Group). Mr. Horiuchi graduated from The University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law in 1984, and received an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School in 1988. He successfully completed the Real Estate Executive Management Program of Harvard Business School and the Executive Management Program of Tokyo University.
