Zara Dang is the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar. Over the past five years, Zara has been tracking economic and policy developments affecting the Myanmar business environment and engaging with foreign investors as they seek to navigate, set-up and expand operations. Prior to heading up the newly-established AMCHAM Myanmar office in 2017, she led the business development, marketing and communications efforts for the commercial law firm Baker McKenzie?s Myanmar office. Since joining AMCHAM, Zara has focused on implementing value-add benefits and services, and furthering the AMCHAM programming including the Chamber?s CSR initiatives.

It is fundamental to the AMCHAM philosophy that good ethics and good business are synonymous. AMCHAM is proud that American companies hold themselves to the highest standards for ethical and responsible business practices. As part of the AMCHAM objective to encourage corporate social responsibility in Myanmar, the Chamber established the AMCHAM CSR Excellence or ?A.C.E.? program in 2015. Each year, the A.C.E. program awards special recognition to member companies who demonstrate exemplary CSR programs in the communities where they operate. Additionally, the Chamber provides workshops and best practice sharing sessions for companies who wish to develop new CSR programs or improve on their existing initiatives.
