AVPN 2015 Conference: Tickets Now Sold Out

Thank you for all of your enthusiasm and support! Again, we have sold all 400 tickets a month before the conference. Most conference delegates are funders and intermediaries in the venture philanthropy / social investing space and will be coming from 30 different countries! More details at the AVPN 2015 Conference website.

We have designed a very exciting programme for you: 25 sessions (panels, breakouts, keynotes) and 90 speakers over three days will put you right in the center of knowledge. Not to mention live pitching from 20 investee organisations funded by AVPN members and fringe events organised by AVPN members. It is going to be “shiok”, as we say it in Singapore!

Please be reminded that the main conference is on April 21st and 22ndApril 20th is members and speakers only day. April 23rd is a fringe event day organised by AVPN members. Please check with the respective parties responsible for the event to reserve a seat!

A. Environmental Stewardship
To protect the environment, we organize programmes like mangrove nursery and Reforestation, Coastal and River Clean-Up, Community Based Environmental Solid Waste Management, Environmental IEC Campaign and Eco-Academy

B. Food Security and Sustainable Livelihood
To ensure a sustainable livelihood for the community, eco-tourism include Buhatan River Cruise Visitor Center Buhatan River Mangrove Boardwalk are run by the community. Others include Organic Vegetable and Root crops Farming, Vegetable and Root crops Chips and by-products Processing and establishing a Zero waste store.

C. Empowered Communities
To empower the community, we provide product and Agri-Enterprise Development Training, Immersion and Learnings Exchange Program, Earth Warrior Training and Community Based Social Entrepreneurship Training

Kevin Teo

Kevin Teo is the Chief Operating Officer at AVPN where he manages AVPN's market engagements across Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia and Global Markets. Kevin also oversees the digital transformation team, which plays a significant role in facilitating business processes and member experience through technology. Prior to that, he was a Founding Partner of Volans, a Social Innovation company with offices in London and Singapore. Kevin was previously Head of East and Southeast Asia at the Schwab Foundation of Social Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum. Prior to that, Kevin had a nine year stint in the enterprise software arena in Silicon Valley, Irvine and Austin. This included work at two Sequoia Capital startups that were acquired by Sun Microsystems and Symantec respectively. Kevin is a Trustee of the Southeast Asian Service Leadership Network (SEALNet), a non-profit he co-founded in 2004. Kevin holds a Master of Gerontology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences, an MS in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BEng with Honors in Computing from Imperial College, London.
