Job Description

AVPN is looking for a Chief of Staff to support the CEO’s office. This is a dynamic role that includes being a key advisor to the CEO and management team to drive AVPN’s strategic vision and coordinate cross-functional initiatives. You will help develop and communicate our strategy and  ensure that all members of the team are working effectively and efficiently towards our goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a chief advisor and right-hand person to the CEO and management team, provide strategic guidance and support to help achieve AVPN’s goals.
  • Oversee strategic initiatives from development through successful execution in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Support with managing relationships and communication between the CEO and team members, AVPN members and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee management of the board and drive initiatives to increase board engagement and participation in AVPN’s strategic initiatives. 
  • Communicate AVPN’s priorities and progress to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Optimize key operational processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA, or advanced degree
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in philanthropy, impact investing, the development sector, or a related field
  • Proven ability to work closely with C-level executives, providing strategic advice, and managing sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable recommendations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, and operates with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to lead and influence teams and drive organizational change.
  • Experience working with a culturally diverse team based around the world with a mixture of remote and hybrid working arrangements.
