Job Description

AVPN is looking for a Chief People Officer to lead the People function. This role includes developing and implementing People strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management of our human capital. This individual will partner with the regional leadership team, and provide end-to-end functional leadership, including the implementation of people initiatives that enable the delivery of AVPN’s strategy and business plans. We are looking for candidates based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organisation's people and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Leads the people priorities and plan development, ensuring the annual calendar of People-related activity is executed effectively (eg performance review, career planning, etc).
  • Leads the development and administration of programs, policies, procedures and guidelines in alignment with company strategies and business needs.
  • Provides support and guidance to People Associates, management, and other staff when complex, specialised, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants by collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyses trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay and benefits programs to ensure the organisation attracts and retains talent.
  • Develops learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Applies Career Development processes, tools and resources that supply high-quality career discussions among employees, and that drive individual growth and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above with a major in Human Resources and other disciplines;
  • 15- 20 years of HR experience with at least 10 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and, process knowledge and expertise in Performance Management, Staffing and Selections, Compensation and rewards;
  • Experience developing a People strategy and operating model in a scaling organisation.
  • Experience working with a culturally diverse team based around the world with a mixture of remote and hybrid working arrangements. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  •  Strong coaching and adapting skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
  • Leadership capabilities
