Job Description

The Senior Associate, CEO’s Office will play a key role in supporting the Chief of Staff in driving organizational priorities, strengthening cross-functional coordination, and ensuring the effective execution of AVPN’s strategic agenda.

Sitting at the center of the organization, the role provides an opportunity to work across teams and functions — from strategy and partnerships to operations and communications — to ensure that the CEO’s Office is well-informed, agile, and impactful in its engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

This position reports directly to the Chief of Staff and will work closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and key external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Coordination, Executive Support, Communication and Operational Excellence
  • Support the Chief of Staff in advancing the CEO’s strategic priorities and organizational initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and track progress against key deliverables and milestones.
  • Prepare high-quality briefs, presentations, and talking points for the CEO’s engagements and meetings.
  • Manage internal communications, documentation, and follow-ups to ensure effective decision-making and execution.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO’s Office to drive alignment and accountability.
  • Support planning and coordination of leadership meetings, retreats, and strategic reviews.
  • Maintain dashboards, trackers, and knowledge systems to monitor institutional performance and priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in consulting, project management, strategy, or operations (experience in the social impact, philanthropy, or development sector preferred).
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise and compelling outputs.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management tools (e.g. Airtable, Salesforce).
  • High attention to detail, organizational ability, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to build relationships across levels and functions.
