AVPN is a unique funders’ network committed to building a vibrant and high-impact social investment community across Asia. AVPN’s mission is to catalyse the movement toward a more strategic, collaborative, and outcome-focused approach to social investing, ensuring that resources are deployed as effectively as possible to address key social challenges facing Asia today and in the future.

AVPN’s Senior Manager, Global Markets will be AVPN’s first point of contact in the European market, helping to execute strategies for market penetration, membership growth, positioning, and maintaining relationship building with existing and prospective European-based members. The Senior Manager will also support the coordination and engagement of AVPN’s senior executives in managing key relationships in Europe.

The Senior Manager reports to the Director of Global Markets who is based in Belgium. Considering that both positions are based in Europe, the Senior Manager and Director Global Markets will collaborate extensively.

The candidate is preferably based in a city in UK/Europe (London, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Milan) with existing & prospective members of AVPN, and with good access to international transport facilities.

AVPN in Europe

Partner with the Director Global Markets on the execution of AVPN’s strategy in Europe, with a specific focus on membership retention & engagement, and the recruitment of new members.
Lead the promotion of AVPN’s activities and engagement to stakeholders in Europe, including Conferences, Summits, other convenings, events, and participation in key projects, etc.
Occasionally represent AVPN in Europe-based industry events and network activities to improve AVPN brand awareness and demonstrate AVPN leadership by speaking in such events.

Value for the broader AVPN-organization

Provide AVPN teams with insights on Europe’s needs & potential to derive innovative and constructive propositions that add value and differentiate AVPN from other networks.
Contribute to strengthening AVPN brand awareness in Europe through strategically engaging product verticals.
Work closely with Senior Executives based in Singapore/Dubai, to support their engagement with key regional/global stakeholders who are based in Europe.

Other Responsibilities

Support and work closely with Global Markets team to jointly achieve regional goals and collaborate to engage and acquire new members in Global Markets.
Other support for market development as needed from time to time.

5+ years of experience in business development, relationship management, or a related field.
3 years of experience in social investment, philanthropy, CSR or related field.
Natural talent in working with knowledge management systems & excited to explore the potential of new technologies.
Experience working under tight deadlines, operating in a distributed/hybrid organization.
Eager to experiment with new ideas to add value to members and collaborating well with others to make these ideas happen.
Excellent organizational skills.
You are a concise, compelling writer and an effective verbal communicator.
