About AVPN

AVPN is a unique funders’ network committed to building a vibrant and high-impact social investment community across Asia. AVPN’s mission is to catalyse the movement toward a more strategic, collaborative, and outcome-focused approach to social investing, ensuring that resources are deployed as effectively as possible to address key social challenges facing Asia today and in the future.

Job Description

AVPN is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Markets to lead relationship management with  AVPN’s highest tiers and key strategic members  located across Australia, the US, and Europe. These members represent a diverse and globally engaged group of funders and ecosystem leaders committed to advancing impact in Asia.

As the central point of contact for this community, the Senior Manager will be responsible for both proactive engagement — offering timely and relevant opportunities for learning, collaboration, and visibility — and responsive support, ensuring that member requests are well understood and appropriately followed up across the organisation.

The role requires a strong ability to build relationships rooted in trust, attentiveness, and shared purpose. A key success factor will be the ability to work closely with colleagues across markets, thematic verticals, and operational teams to ensure members are connected to the right people, platforms, and moments.

The ideal candidate combines strategic listening with a service mindset, and is energized by helping members navigate the AVPN ecosystem. This is not a sales role — it’s a stewardship role. Success will be measured by the depth of engagement, quality of internal coordination, and overall member satisfaction.

The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Global Markets who is based in Belgium.

The candidate is preferably based in India (ideally Mumbai or Pune)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for AVPN’s high-tier  members based in Australia, the US, and Europe — ensuring regular, thoughtful, and tailored engagement.
  • Provide proactive member engagement by identifying relevant AVPN opportunities (e.g. thematic platforms, convenings, partnerships) and offering personalised entry points to deepen value.
  • Ensure responsive support by coordinating with AVPN colleagues across markets and verticals to address member requests, questions, or challenges in a timely and effective way.
  • Work with AVPN’s thematic and market leads to ensure high-tier  members are meaningfully connected to relevant communities, content, and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of engagement and follow-up actions through AVPN’s knowledge management and CRM systems.
  • Monitor and report on relationship health, engagement levels, and satisfaction — offering feedback for continuous improvement of member experience.
  • Contribute to AVPN’s broader Global Markets strategy by identifying patterns, opportunities, or risks that emerge through member interactions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in relationship management, partnerships, philanthropy, or member-facing roles in a networked organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted, long-term relationships across diverse geographies and sectors
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, especially in globally distributed environments
  • Good understanding of the Asian impact ecosystem,
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working across multiple teams and thematic areas to coordinate member support
  • Well-organised and attentive to detail — able to keep track of multiple conversations, timelines, and follow-ups
  • Strong internal communication skills — translating member needs clearly for colleagues across functions
  • Curiosity, humility, entrepreneurial and a strong service mindset
  • Fluency in English; additional languages an asset. You are a concise, compelling writer and an effective verbal communicator.
  • Prior stewardship or institutional client service experience with global/multinational organisations is an asset.
