Problem

Launching of the National Skill Development Policy in 2009 was a developmental milestone in the large-scale skilling efforts by the government, corporations, vocational training providers and the industry associations. Agrasar entered into this sector after realizing that despite such a large scale effort, millions of people who are at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder still remained unemployable. They are being covered neither by the prevalent nor the upcoming players due to high fee structure and focus on fulfilling the need of the industry than the actual social impact. The real question being faced by all vocational training providers across the country is what competencies to train people in. At Agrasar, we strive to evolve the curriculum as per the industry needs by taking existing knowledge base to the next level of efficacy.

Solution

  • Enable the youth to lead better lives and earn livelihoods in a more meaningful manner by enhancing their skills.
  • Support migrant workers and their families by providing them a platform to lead more dignified lives.
  • Support & influence implementation of relevant regional and national public policy and schemes.
