At gDiapers, our aim is to end plastic disposable diaper waste with our patented plastic-free baby diapers and full service. We deliver, collect and compost our diapers. Our work and impact is primarily focused in Indonesia and the Southeast Asia region.

Problem

Current diapers companies focus on producing  plastic disposable diapers, which are non-recyclable and non-biodegradable. Consumers do not have much choice for more sustainable, environmentally-friendly alternatives.




As a result, 300,000 plastic diapers are landfilled, burned or end up in oceans every minute around the globe. Indonesia is at the epicenter of the global plastic diaper waste problem, with 30% of Indonesia's marine plastic waste is baby diapers. This leads to massive environmental and economic costs throughout the product life cycle, further exacerbating the problems of climate change and building sustainable living spaces.




At gDiapers, we are focused on solving this problem.

Solution

Unlike disposable baby diapers that use a cup of oil to make each one, gDiapers are made from non-GMO corn starch, reducing GHG emissions via plastic production.




gDiaper's products are compostable, which allows for sequestering carbon back into the soil. Through this approach, we are able to reduce the amount of emissions generated throughout the product life-cycle, effectively cutting down on emissions and waste at the landfill.
