Problem

Bioenergy is a significant part of GOI’s policy for achieving its NDCs. Bioenergy addresses climate impact in 2 key ways:
  1. By preventing of the decomposition of waste and other feedstock which can release potent GHGs like methane.
  2. Bioenergy can replace use of fossil fuels thus helping climate change mitigation.
From a geopolitical standpoint, bioenergy offers significant potential for India to become energy independent.

Solution
