Limb loss or disability caused by disease or congenital issues has devastating personal, opportunity and economic costs. In Asia, millions of people with disabilities do NOT have access to life-changing Prosthetic & Orthotic (P&O) services. NGO Exceed Worldwide, which has worked in the region for 25 years to train P&O practitioners and supply tens of thousands of custom-made P&O devices, is addressing this massive challenge. It has established Exceed Social Enterprises (ESE) to operate private P&O clinics and a P&O distribution business, to generate profits purely for social impact. ESE profits will expand P&O education and the charitable and private P&O sectors, to address the P&O health challenge on an appropriate scale.
