Ambuja Cement Foundation was established in 1993 and over the past 25 years, have extended our reach to 1473 villages, in 11 states of India. We take a participatory 360-degree approach to water resource management, marrying traditional wisdom with our managerial and technological expertise, working hand in hand with the government and communities. We work on both supply side issues such as capturing and harvesting water via a variety of solutions and demand-side issues such as water use efficiency, improved irrigation, and cropping practices. Our core competencies are our implementation skills and proven process to enable last mile reach, even in the remotest communities. We build people's institutions such as Village Watershed Committees, Water User associations, Farmer Producer Organisations, and Women's Federations to ensure the long-term sustainability of each project.
