Problem

SkyCool Systems is using it's core technology to reduce energy use in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. As air temperatures get hotter, cooling systems will become less efficient. Also, the demand for cooling will grow. This is expected to put a large strain on the global utility grid, and will require much more electricity to be generated globally. This will result in even more CO2 emissions and accelerate rising temperatures associated with global warming. The only way to stop this is to develop more efficient ways to cool.

Solution

Our core technology is a passive cooling film. We are using the film to directly reduce energy for cooling in vehicles and buildings. We are using the film on a panel to improve the efficiency of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. In certain circumstances, we can even use our panels to completely replace a traditional air conditioning system.

Our cooling films can be used to directly cool buildings and provide shade structures for people who cannot afford air conditioning systems. People in poverty will have to endure very hot temperatures, and our films can potentially be a very low cost way to keep people cool in the hot summers, without electricity.
