The ISIF Asia Awards recognize the important work of digital innovators, whose creativity and technical ability has improved the lives of many. They will be granted to projects that have already been implemented or are in the final stages of implementation, and that align with the eligibility criteria. Please note the call for awards has been extended until 30 June. ISIF Asia will allocate 4 awards of 3000 AUD, plus an additional 1000 AUD for the one with the highest number of votes. The awards will be granted to projects that have already been implemented or are in the final stages of implementation, and that align with the eligibility criteria. The Awards are given in four categories:
– Innovation on access provision
– Innovation on learning and localization
– Code for the common good
– Rights
In addition to the cash prize, the award winners are invited to the awards ceremony to be held at the IGF in Brazil later this year, where they will be able to participate in the discussions about the future of the Internet and bring the voices of their communities to such an important global forum. Award winners also receive support from the ISIF secretariat to expand their network of contacts to pursue other funding opportunities to bring their solutions to scale.
