This year, Slush Singapore teams up with Philips to take pitching to a whole new level. Say goodbye to traditional pitch contests, in September you will be pitching for the deal of a lifetime. We are seeking out-of-the-box solutions and innovative technologies to address Philips’ challenges. The Top Startup will win an opportunity to work with Philips, and receive support from Philips’ experts, resources, and network.
CHALLENGE: ANALYSIS AND PREVENTION IN HEALTHCARE
PROBLEM STATEMENT #1: How do we conduct Analysis and Prevention of Non-Contagious Diseases (e.g. for diabetes or cancer)?

— Screening and early detection
PROBLEM STATEMENT #2: How do we improve outcomes in Hospitals?
Some ideas:
— Improving patient experience in hospitals, e.g. in Intensive Care Units
— Predict, manage and reduce hospital acquired infections
— Predictive maintenance for equipment

There is no need to be a HealthTech startup to offer the best solution in a Healthcare use case.
We want interdisciplinary solutions that cross-pollinate industries and creative applications of technologies. Solutions that are unconventional, untraditional and unconservative. Stretch your minds and ingenuity, how will your technology address the challenge.
PRIZES
SHORTLISTED STARTUPS:
— 3 week incubation period with Philips before Slush Singapore event to further develop their pitch and solutions
— 1 free Startup Pass to attend Slush Singapore 2018
— Pitch onstage at Slush Singapore and compete for the place of Top Startup in the Startup Challenge
TOP STARTUP:
— Targeted acceleration period with Philips to explore bringing the solution(s) to the market, receiving support from Philips’ experts, resources, and network.

SELECTION CRITERIA
— Startups technology use cases need not be limited to the Healthcare industry, however, technology/solution needs to be applicable to the use cases/challenges above
— Startups need to address one or more of the challenges above
— Startups can be at any stage (seed, series A, etc.) and operate or originate from any geographical location
— At least a minimum viable product or prototype is required
— Shortlisted startups need to travel to Singapore for the Slush Singapore Event and Pre-events on 13th and 14th September 2018
