The Seeds of Renewal program provides technology or funding grants of up to $15,000 to community organisations for projects focused on creating education and employment opportunities. Technology grants (laptops and/or tablets) are provided by ANZ’s technology supplier, Lenovo, and the program is independently administered by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR).
Not-for-profit community based organisations, with an ABN or Incorporation Certificate, that contribute to the development of education and employment opportunities within regional communities of 15,000 people or less can apply on this grants program.
Examples of suitable projects include those that: 1) Help people to prepare for employment or return to education; 2) Provide certified training courses at local community centres; 3) Help people to learn new skills and knowledge such as mentoring, structured networking opportunities or professional development; 4) Develop micro-business or social enterprises that involve strong community engagement and help to create employment opportunities.
Projects that focus on creating education and employment opportunities in local communities, building local capacity, increasing access to employment and developing greater participation are eligible for funding; and projects that have a demonstrable medium-to-long-term economic benefit to the community and foster community development will be highly regarded.
