The DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia is an Asia-wide competition for social entrepreneurs, open to any member of the public. Organised by NUS Enterprise and DBS Foundation, the Challenge aims to identify and support innovative ideas and social ventures that have the potential to generate positive, scalable and sustainable social impact. We aim to raise awareness of social entrepreneurship and catalyse a robust community of social entrepreneurs and capacity builders across Asia. We also provide multi-dimensional support for budding social entrepreneurs, and build capacity through public education in social entrepreneurship.

This year’s edition aims to identify aspiring and early stage entrepreneurs who are passionate and leverage on their innovative business solutions (be it product, service or processes) to solve social issues and create positive and sustainable social impact in Asia.

The 2017 edition has 2 different categories for application submission, depending on the stage of your idea or social venture.

In addition, up to 2 teams from the IDEA category and up to 6 teams from the ENTERPRISE category would be awarded with prize money, in total worth over SGD150,000.  Going beyond the prize money from the Challenge, both DBS Foundation and NUS Enterprise will provide 6 months of post-competition support for the finalist teams, such as matching you with meaningful mentors, as well as relevant incubation support with us or our country partners.

The Challenge will be officially opened for online submission of application from 17 April to 14 May 2017!
