The Asia Network for Young Social Entrepreneurs Conference will be held on 30-31 August 2015 at the Seoul City Hall in Seoul, South Korea. The event is co-organized by the Hankyoreh Economic Institute and C. with the support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The theme of the Conference is ‘Social Economy, Solving Housing Issue’ to look at how the social economy can resolve the housing issue in Asia.
Each country in Asia has different context and circumstances on housing. However innovative attempts have been emerging to secure the basic quality of human life and build a sustainable community based on solidarity such as affordable housing and house sharing. These new experiments are gaining momentum with the increase of impact investment and cross-sectoral collaboration. This event will highlight innovative activities and methodologies to bring social impact such as ‘Housing for All’ of Ashoka India, ‘LightBe’ from Hong Kong, ‘Gawad Kalinga’ from the Philippines and ‘Ours’ from Taiwan.
