AVPN Hong Kong Year-End Gathering
5 December 2019, Thursday
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Venue: TBC
Social impact efforts in Hong Kong have continued to grow in various sectors over the past two years, notably in philanthropy and corporate engagement. There is a long legacy of giving in Hong Kong, driven by several prominent philanthropists. Hong Kong holds the largest share of philanthropic assets of total GDP in Asia. We are poised with potential for future philanthropy whose impact can be amplified through strategic and innovative models. Corporates are also becoming more progressive in furthering social impact. Along with increasing their giving to charity, some Hong Kong-listed companies have also been making especially ground-breaking efforts to expand their engagement with social impact beyond donations.
Join AVPN in our year-end gathering as we introduce our 2018 Social Investment Landscape in Hong Kong report. Launched after our Conference in June this year, the report serves as a resource for funders and resource providers to assess the opportunities and challenges for social investment in Hong Kong. In this gathering, we will also share what AVPN has planned for 2020, including a focus on cultivating tangible advancements for climate action and gender issues. The discussion will be followed by a cocktail reception.
This AVPN convening aims to:
- Equip participants with knowledge of current Hong Kong landscape relative to 13 other Asian markets
- Highlight key social investment indicators and progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals
- Connect social investors of different fields to explore cross-sector collaborations
This event is by-invitation only.
