Like all venture philanthropy organisations, they seek to create a multiplier effect by providing both financial and non-financial support. According to an external impact evaluation report published in March 2012:
- For each 1 Rupee UnLtd India provided in funding, each of its investees has on average raised or earned a further 14.5 Rupees
- Investees’ ventures have create 3,200 jobs and have reached out to more than 650,000+ beneficiaries through their work
- UnLtd India “has the only incubator in India with financial and non-financial support for all types of social entrepreneurs from the very earliest stages of development.”

The Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) has created and continues to grow a diverse network of organisations practicing and supporting venture philanthropy. We have more than 120 members from 20 countries including 12 members based in India and a further 8 who have offices or actively invests in India. Our members are divided between practicing members – those using the VP approach to social investment to grow both non-profits and social enterprises – and associate members who are funders of practicing members and/or their investees, providers of human capital or learning about the VP landscape.
