A human capital gap forms a key obstacle to Myanmar’s development. With few people that have completed quality (tertiary) education, many organisations struggle with finding and retaining talent.
This event will first highlight the existing ecosystem around human capital development in Myanmar, looking at the Government’s priorities, gaps, and a number of existing initiatives that seek to help solve the human capital gap. Drawing from his experience across the region and together in conversation with key actors in the Myanmar human capital ecosystem, Sriven Naidu will facilitate a brainstorm on what different type of actors (education institutes, development partners and the private sector) can do and the potential of cross-sectoral collaboration.
The event will:
- cover challenges, opportunities and key players for human capital development in Myanmar
- initiate new links between organisations that (can) play a role in human capital development
- create networking opportunities amongst actors active in Myanmar’s social impact space
