Through highly successful campaigns such as Behind the Brands and the Fair Finance Guide, AVPN member Oxfam has changed the ways to do business for hundreds of listed companies.

Now, Oxfam is joining hands with the Dutch Association of Investors for Sustainable Investment (VBDO) to create an international network of platforms in emerging markets, on which responsible investors and civil society organisations can work together to advocate and to drive measurable change for companies’ ESG policies.

In this roundtable, Oxfam and VBDO will share their plans on creating this platform as well as the sustainable investing experiences in the Netherlands, followed by an interactive discussions with audience.

Topics such as “What are the issues around sustainability, inequality and poverty in Singapore and across the region?” “How are shareholders engaged on these topics?” “Could there be a potential for shareholder engagement and how would it work in this context?” will be discussed in the roundtable.

Who should attend:

  • Corporations who are interested to improve their ESG policies;
  • Investors who are interested in sustainable investing;
  • Civil Society Organisations who are passionate about certain issues and want to influence companies’ policies.
