AVPN South Asia Summit 2023

19 - 20 January 2023 | Mumbai, India

Championing transformative collective action

The South Asia region faces critical challenges in building a strong, resilient and just recovery path from the effects of the pandemic. Issues such as Gender Equality, Livelihood opportunities for Youth, Climate Action and Just Energy Transition, Health Equity and Preparedness, and Ecosystem Development continue to hinder the region’s growth. The region is nowhere close to meeting the SDG targets by 2030.

Given India’s prominence in South Asia, it is vital to examine the country’s influence over the region and unpack the role of the private and social sectors in contributing to not just India’s development narrative but also fueling the growth narrative of the South Asia region as a whole.

What do our members think about AVPN?

AVPN has been an invaluable support to Sesame Workshop in its work in Asia Pacific. We are proud to be a partner with AVPN in 2021, as the team continues to introduce us to potential collaborators and provide a forum for us to share our work with the largest network of social investors in Asia.

Sonali Khan

By bringing people together for quality conversations, sharing failures, and creating opportunities and an environment to reflect on our work, AVPN has helped to open minds of various stakeholders.

Prachi Windlass

Director at Michael & Susan Dell Foundation

AVPN is the largest platform and networking organisation for social investment in Asia. It brings together funders, implementers and leading industry bodies in a forum where they can share ideas and contacts and collaborate on various initiatives. Credit Suisse sees this platform as highly beneficial to our regional grant-making and understanding of the regional social investment field.
