About this event

Did you know that cotton production supports the livelihoods of ~250 million people globally!

Yet, less than 20% of cotton is grown sustainably. It is important that cotton production is made “better” to drive sustainability for the planet and fair incomes to farmers.

The Better Cotton Initiative has launched a global initiative – The Better Cotton Innovation Challenge – to drive radical improvements in the way cotton is grown globally by identifying innovators with big bold ideas. Innovations using design thinking, behavioural nudges, satellite-based technologies and sensors have the potential to truly transform cotton production. The Challenge brings significant recognition, prize money for the winning innovations and the potential to launch their innovation with more than 2 million farmers.

Are you an innovator that wants to bring in a new era of innovation to cotton agriculture globally? Apply for the Challenge now at
