SIARA launched in 2017 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, SIARA is organized by The Big Heart Foundation in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The award recognizes outstanding non-profit organizations working to improve the lives of forcibly displaced individuals and communities affected by conflict or natural disasters, with a focus on the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
The award carries a prize value of AED 500,000, fully funded by The Big Heart Foundation and not derived from public donations. Organizations may self-nominate or be nominated by third parties, subject to the eligibility and ethical criteria outlined in the award guidelines. SIARA 2026
