Brief Introduction to China Philanthropy Forum 2014
Theme: Open a Philanthropy Era
It is an international social forum that is jointly sponsored by the China Charity Alliance, Lao Niu Foundation, China Charity & Donation Information Center, Tsinghua University Education Foundation, China Siyuan Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, Capital Philanthropy Federation and the Sun Culture Foundation. This forum is committed to building a major philanthropy value in China, as well as to provide a broad platform for the dissemination of social influence and to promote professional exchanges and cooperation. Its aim is to raise public awareness and to promote the development of Chinese philanthropy.
The two-day forum will begin by an opening ceremony on the first day, combining with other events such as keynote speeches, parallel forums, exhibitions and charity gala. The main theme of the forum will be on “Open a philanthropy era” with a particular emphasis on “Creating shared values”. Together, we will jointly explore the path of the Chinese philanthropy development under the overall background of deepening reform.
Sub-Forums topics include:
1) “Open a new era of Chinese and foreign Philanthropy cooperation”,
2) “The Innovation of Charity and Civic Governance Paradigm”,
3) “New Pattern of Social Assistance Under the Cooperation background of Government and Society”
4) “Youth Make a Better Philanthropic China”.
In addition, the results of The 3rd Chinese Cities Charity Index Released Ceremony” will be announced. Moreover, the exhibition on “The Sustainable Growth path of charity organizations in China- “hematopoietic project” will also be displayed on the same day. The second day will be a field trip to the Horinger County of Inner Mongolia to study the regional ecological environment.
