Over the last 2 years, The Funder Safeguarding Collaborative’s (FSC) – which is housed within Global Fund for Children – has been working with safeguarding specialists across 5 countries in Asia (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia, Indonesia) to improve access to high quality, contextually relevant safeguarding support. This convening will be an opportunity to meet these specialists and interact with other funders to share learning and identify practical ways to strengthen safeguarding and prevent harm.
Sessions will include:
- Building safer organisations: Challenges and Positive Practices: Panel discussion and Q&A exploring challenges and good practices when supporting civil society organisations.
- Strengthening Safeguarding Support to Grantees: Meet safeguarding specialists to share learning and develop recommendations to improve safeguarding support.
- Starting your safeguarding journey: Hear from funders about their safeguarding journey and learn about practical tools to assess safeguarding within your organisation.
- Embedding Safeguarding in Grant Making Practices Explore different approaches to safeguarding due diligence and managing safeguarding concerns.
There will also be pre-event dinner on Tuesday 22nd August and an informal reception after the event on 23rd August.
