The Corporate for Impact Series is designed for corporates seeking to strengthen the credibility, resilience, and strategic value of their social impact efforts.
In today’s evolving landscape, corporate social impact is increasingly linked to organisational reputation, risk management, and long-term value creation. As expectations from stakeholders continue to grow, many organisations are reflecting on how to ensure their efforts are both meaningful and credible—balancing impact with accountability, while communicating their work in ways that build trust.
Delivered by the AVPN Academy, this programme features insights from distinguished guest speakers, including corporate leaders, CSR practitioners, and ecosystem partners. Through a series of virtual sessions, participants will explore how organisations can move beyond compliance-led CSR towards approaches that are intentional, measurable, and able to stand up to increasing scrutiny, while remaining aligned with both business and societal priorities.
Title for the session: From CSR Reporting to Reputation Assets: Crisis-Proofing Your Impact Narrative
Blurb about the session: In today’s environment of heightened scrutiny, a crisis does not create reputational risk, it reveals it.
Whether a global pandemic, a humanitarian emergency, or a climate-related disaster, organisations are required to communicate with speed, clarity, and accountability under intense pressure. Yet many corporate impact narratives are not built to withstand this pressure. This session explores how Corporate Social Impact leaders can communicate to inform, reassure, and mobilise action, as well as how missteps in tone, timing, or messaging can undermine both trust and impact.
Participants will gain a practical understanding of what effective communication looks like when it matters most from handling live media engagements and shaping messages in real time, to aligning communications with rapidly evolving on-the-ground realities. The session will also translate these lessons for a corporate context, exploring how companies can build the same clarity, responsiveness, and coordination into their own communications during moments of crisis.
Designed for corporate leaders across communications, CSR, and sustainability functions, this session offers practical insights on building impact narratives that hold when it matters most.
