Inspired by the strength and valour of the Amazonian women, this year’s CRIB Ball, “Island of Themyscira: Warriors and Goddesses”, is a nod to famous warrior and demi-goddess, Wonder Woman, who stands for peace and is known for her unparalleled love for humankind and earth.
The funds raised go towards CRIB’s programs, in particular its charity arm CRIB Gives Back, and its 2018 beneficiary charity.
In 2018, the new foundation that CRIB Gives Back is working with is Mister Morris Foundation. It was founded to support a holistic social center called Anugerah on Bintan comprised of an orphanage, an elderly home, a school, and medical centre; as well as several other programs, including an education initiative, which provides scholarships for students looking to enroll in Hotel Business Education.
In this spirit, on November 29th 2018, The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Hotel will be transformed into a lush, green island of paradise where we will celebrate the most fearless women in Singapore, their remarkable achievements, inspiring stories, and the entrepreneurial spirit. This spectacular evening will feature a seated dinner, a silent and a live auction of unique experiences and luxury items, and a variety of musical and artistic performances.
At the core of CRIB, is a desire to make a positive impact on the community. CRIB Gives Back, the philanthropic arm of CRIB,develops programmes and helps raise funds for causes that benefit society and the disadvantaged.
Each year CRIB Gives Back thoughtfully chooses beneficiary charities to support, each with a worthy cause. Our 2017 beneficiary was EmancipAction, an NGO which fights sex trafficking of women and girls in India.
We also support Operation Hope Foundation through CRIB’s “Holiday for Hope” programme. In our first Holiday for Hope, members of the CRIB community took a meaningful family holiday to Siem Reap to support a local primary school and community in Cambodia, funding school facilities and sanitation systems.
