A community-focused meeting of startups, investors, entrepreneurs, growth
experts, and media from across Asia’s education technology (EdTech) community,
with a focus on empowering the regional EdTech ecosystem.
EdTech Asia will host its first regional EdTech Summit on July 30-31 in Bangkok, Thailand with a focus on ecosystem empowerment, knowledge sharing, and EdTech sector growth. The event will bring together key stakeholders in the Asian EdTech entrepreneurship, investment, and nnovation ecosystems to explore shifting dynamics and highlight trends and opportunities within the Education and EdTech sectors.
AVPN will host a panel discussion on Innovative Financing for Education in the summit.
Panel Description:
What are the available funding sources beyond the traditional equity and debt investments for EdTech companies that foster growth and value? In this session panelists will critique and discuss various innovative funding options including crowdfunding, open innovation challenges, venture philanthropy and impact investment.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZER
EdTech Asia originated as a community networking and information group in Bangkok, Thailand in 2013 that served stakeholders in the local edtech entrepreneurship and innovation community. Regional expansion began in March of 2015, since that time EdTech Asia has formed similar groups in 10 countries and 13 cities. Additionally, EdTech Asia has organized or contributed to 20+ events in the last 12 months with new groups and events scheduled for India and China in 2016. Community groups are scheduled to meet twice per year and serve as a local focal point for access and ecosystem growth through the facilitation of a collaborative and cohesive network of groups throughout the region. The EdTech Asia Summit represents the next stage of growth.
