EdelGive Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Edelweiss Group, is hosting an event with one of their investees, the Mann Deshi Foundation on 6th of August, 2015, 4PM onwards (refer to above for details). This organisation is affiliated to the Mann Deshi Bank which works towards ensuring financial inclusion among the rural women.
The Mann Deshi Foundation has been the driving force behind women’s economic empowerment in rural Maharashtra since 1996. EdelGive has piloted their Doorstep Cash Credit Programme with an aim to safeguard the working capital needs of vendors with dynamic business locations while also eliminating the risk they face when dealing with money- lenders.
It will be an event where six rural women entrepreneurs will come together to share their journey from being home makers to business women.
