About this event

You are invited to submit an abstract for the Evidence and Implementation Summit (EIS) 2023, taking place online and in-person in Melbourne, Australia, 9 – 11 October 2023.

EIS2023 is a hybrid event, with full online and in-person programs bringing together a wide network of global contributors and registrants, regardless of location. The review panel is currently receiving abstracts for presentations, panels, and lightning talks, and we warmly invite you to submit an abstract. Selected abstracts will have the opportunity to be published in the open source journal Implementation Science.

Contributions from a broad range of areas of interest are welcome. Please consider our five Summit themes in the context of current global challenges, across any of the areas listed below and leveraging creative formats.

  • Child and Social Welfare
  • Education
  • Mental Health
  • Health and Human Services
  • Public Health
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives
  • Crime and Justice
  • Disability Services
  • Early Childhood Development and Services
  • International Development
  • Humanitarian Aid
  • Environment and Climate Change

Your contribution, if selected, will be available to both the in-person audience and to the vibrant and diverse global network of Summit attendees participating online. Now is the time to submit your abstract and secure your registration. Do so knowing that wherever you are in the world, the opportunity to present, learn, participate and contribute will be available.

Presentation Options – Examples

The Summit will draw on a number of presentation formats, examples of which are below. We encourage proposals for presentations that use non-traditional formats, such as chat shows (without slides), fishbowl conversations, and other formats allowing greater audience engagement, particularly if are considering an online presentation.

Oral Presentation (with optional slides): an opportunity for you to deliver a 20-minute presentation to participants online (pre-recorded) or in-person.

Lightning Talk (with optional slides): an opportunity for you to deliver a 5-minute presentation to participants online (pre-recorded) or in-person.

Panel Presentation: an opportunity for your group to deliver a 90-minute interactive panel presentation online (pre-recorded) or in-person to engage with participants during a live concurrent session. Please note that a facilitator must be identified and will be responsible for the coordination of the group. We suggest that the number of panelists be limited to a maximum of 4.
