The SIF’s Young Social Entrepreneurs (YSE) 2017 programme will kick off with a four-day workshop from 15 to 18 March in Singapore. The workshop is designed to equip changemakers with the skills and tools needed to create a sustainable business with social impact. We are heartened to have received applications from many passionate teams of social entrepreneurs who have interest in addressing various issues, including: environmental, healthcare, education, cultural and social issues. The teams represent 39 countries and territories, including China, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam. Of the teams that have applied, we have selected 60 to join us at the workshop.

We invite you to join us and our friends in the business of doing good at the Fireside Chat on “Youth Leadership and Development: A Generation of Change” to learn and share, as well as to meet the aspiring changemakers.
The youth who lead social enterprises play an important role in shaping our world. They need to be equipped with skills to lead, manage and organise staff and resources to achieve desired outcomes. This Fireside Chat brings together founders, thought leaders and innovators in the social impact space. This interactive session will explore the qualities of youth leadership and the kind of support needed to unleash the potential of changemakers.

Following the Fireside Chat, we will announce the shortlisted teams who will join us for the rest of the eight-month YSE 2017 journey, which includes mentorship by leading business consultants and entrepreneurs, an overseas study visit and a pitching session for funding.
