A significant shift has occurred over the past two decades in terms of the appetite for and use of good evidence by policymakers, donors and foundations. But what we learn is still slow to influence what we do and how we implement – not just in complex systems, but also within individual institutions.
Ensuring that evidence is fit-for-purpose, and able to guide how organisations make choices, should be a priority. How can we take evidence beyond the purview of the “MEL” or “Research” team, to inform strategy, learning, and action? How can we avoid research waste, and ensure evidence is implemented in ways appropriate to context?
A leader in the use of evidence-informed giving, the Gates Foundation has brought evidence to the heart of strategy development. In this webinar, we’ll hear from Dr Suneeta Krishnan, Deputy Director at Gates Foundation India, about her role in helping transform what evidence can do.
