Social Value UK (SVUK) is a membership organisation that has provided training, research, and consultancy services to a range of private, public, and third sector organisations in social value measurement and management. They are recognised as one of the world leading organisations in the area of social value and are the home of the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology.
What is this program?
This 2-day interactive workshop is designed by SVUK as part of Social Value International (SVI) to enable enterprises to be able to effectively measure and manage the social impacts of their activities. The course is aligned with the Impact Management Project’s approach and highlights the growing consensus on how to measure and manage impacts.
Who is this program for?
The workshop is designed primarily for individuals working for an enterprise who wish to improve their ability to manage their social impacts. It is also suited for those that support enterprises such as intermediaries and impact analysts. It may also be useful for investors who want a deep understanding of the impact management required at an enterprise level.
Attendees of this training course can progress through SVI’s practitioner pathway to become accredited trainers and thus cascade this training.
Enterprise benefits – for those enterprises wishing to learn more about the practical application of an impact management framework, the program will provide the skills and understanding to begin and/or develop a systematic approach to impact management. It will also give those at the enterprise level a brief insight into the investor perspective of impact management.
Intermediary benefits – for individuals/organisations that support enterprises with impact analysis and sustainability advice, the program provides an examination of the impact management practice required at an enterprise level. The course also provides the opportunity to becoming an SVI accredited practitioner and trainer[1].
Investor benefits – for individuals who work in investment and want a detailed insight into the impact management practice that needs to take place at the enterprise level. This will help investors to understand the investor level IMP practice regarding classification of investments, portfolio management and aggregation of impact.

Being recognized as an SVI accredited trainer enables attendees to either license SVI accredited materials, or have their own materials accredited and licensed.
