As the Asia Pacific region grapples with escalating sea levels, environmental imbalances, and resource depletion, the need for urgent action has never been clearer. Supported by Google.org and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the APAC Sustainability Seed Fund 2.0 is a USD 5 million catalytic initiative aimed at supporting non-profits that propel innovative technology-led solutions to tackle the most pressing climate and sustainability challenges in the Asia Pacific region. 

In this webinar, we will announce the selected grantees of APAC SSF 2.0, chosen through a rigorous review process. Senior executives from AVPN, Google, and ADB will share the potential of technology as a transformative force, opening new pathways to effectively address climate action and sustainability. Naina Subberwal Batra Batra

Naina Subberwal Batra is the CEO of AVPN, the largest regional social investment network that aims to increase the flow of financial, human and intellectual capital for impact.Naina’s leadership since 2013 has nurtured the AVPN community, growing the membership base by more than four times and elevating the organisation into a truly regional force for good. Under her direction, AVPN has grown from focusing only on venture philanthropy to supporting the entire ecosystem of social investors, from catalytic philanthropists to impact investors and corporate CSR professionals.Naina is Board Member of the Menzies Foundation, Blue Planet Environmental Solution Pte Ltd and Trustee at Bridge Institute.Naina was a fellow at the The Bellagio Center Residency Program in 2022 and was featured on the list of Asia’s Most Influential by Tatler Asia in 2021. She was awarded by CSRWorks as one of Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen in 2019.

Stephanie King-chung Hung
Director General for the Information Technology Department (ITD),
Asian Development Bank (ADB)
An innovative and dynamic leader, Stephanie, serves as theChief Information Officer of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and holds the position of Director General in the bank’s Information Technology Department (ITD). Her responsibilities encompass ADB’s digital strategies, transformation initiatives, and management of its IT talents, infrastructure, and operations. These responsibilities extend across more than 42 offices, where field services engineers support digitally enabled ADB institutional and development operations.In ADB, she serves to create values through digital transformation enabling ADB to drive climate change actions, economic growth, gender equality, fostering financial inclusivity, sustainability and prosperity in the development member countries that ADB operates.She is appointed as the council member of the CUHK (Chinese University of Hong Kong) Vice-Chancellor’s Global Alumni Advisory Board (GAAB) (2021-2023). She is also a member of Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) for Career Attachment Office (CAO) at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. She was an executive committee (EXCO) member of Women in Tech Chapter of Singapore Computer Society from 2020 to 2022 and newly appointed executive committee member of Sustainability Technology in 2024.She was the honoree recipient of the Singapore SG100IT Women in 2020 with over 1000 nominations. She was one of first 10 industry members in Singapore Computer Society in obtaining Certificate of Senior Professionals in AI Ethics and Governance. She holds both certificates in International Director Program and Corporate Governance in INSEAD Business School. She received the directorship accreditation of Senior Accredited Board Director from Singapore Institute of Directors (SID). She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Andrew Ure
Managing Director,
Government Affairs and Public Policy, Southeast Asia, Google
Andrew Ure is Managing Director, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Southeast Asia at Google. He has been at Google for over ten years, working on policy issues across the Asia-Pacific. His expertise is in technology policy, workforce skilling and the economics of the digital economy.Prior to this he was Managing Director of OgilvyEarth, a sustainability consultancy. He also spent ten years in a number of senior roles with the Australian Government, including as a diplomat in the Middle East and as a climate negotiator and chair in UN and World Bank processes.

He started his career as a strategy consultant based in London. He has a Masters in International Law from the Australian National University and an undergraduate degree from Oxford University.

Moutushi Sengupta
Chief of Capital Mobilisation,
AVPN
Moutushi Sengupta is the Chief of Capital Mobilization in AVPN where she engages with the broad spectrum of capital providers, to deploy financial and human capital to strong, credible Impact Organizations across Asia. She also maintains oversight of the Deal Share platform- AVPN’s online deal-information source for nonprofit and for-profit organizations.Prior to joining AVPN, Moutushi has worked with reputed development funding institutions, including DFID (the erstwhile development wing of Government of United Kingdom), John D and Catherine T MacArthur Foundation, Oxfam India, and more recently, Co-Impact where she served as the Asia Regional Director. Moutushi has an honours graduate degree in Economics and holds two Masters’ degrees – a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Environment Economics from Imperial College, University of London, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University Business School of Panjab University, Chandigarh. She is also an accredited Leadership Coach with the International Coaching Federation.

Ping Manongdo
Country Head, Philippines,
Assistant Director, Partnerships, Eco-Business
Ping is the Philippines Country Director, and Associate Director for partnerships, Southeast Asia at Eco-Business. She leads business development and supports editorial, events, and ESG intelligence delivery.

Ping specialises in convening and hosting high-level stakeholder engagement dialogues on reporting corporate impact and sustainable development issues in Asia. She was a United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Fellow, a Thomson Reuters – Global Reporting Initiative Fellow, and regularly facilitates and leads dialogues on key corporate responsibility and disclosure issues, climate change, and sustainable development.

Currently based in the Philippines, Ping is a sought-after speaker and moderator, training facilitator, and convenor of relevant conversations. She holds a completion certificate of the GRI 2021 Revised Universal Standards training, a UK CPD-certified training certificate on Climate Bonds, and a course completion certificate on Climate Change Science, Communication, and Action issued by Cornell University. She is also awarded a UK Chevening scholarship for MPA in Climate, Innovation, and Sustainability Policy with the University College London.
