The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting everyone regardless of borders, and it’s accelerating the existing inequalities.
How to bridge these lacerations and promote dialogue, understanding and inclusion between different social groups have become an important principle and goal of various government, enterprises and social organizations. In addition to the initiatives of the United Nations and the policies of Governments, the past year also witnessed a series of innovative social support practices around the world. Institutions that are already committed in social issues are actively supporting their communities to be better prepared for the uncertainties in the post-pandemic era.
These social support practices are often very localized, serving specific needs of the local groups. However, these practices also respond to some common challenges faced by diverse communities across the globe under the shadow of COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar invited a number of social support practitioner and researchers from different countries and regions to share their observations, thoughts and actions on society in the COVID-19 era. The webinar aims to promote dialogue, exchange of experience and reflection, and ultimately promote mutual understanding and respect.
