Following the previous four roundtable discussions on impact investment, Impact Hub Shanghai is inviting Michael Norton, Director of Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action (CIVA), to discuss how businesses and impact investors can invest in solutions for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In the discussions, Mr. Norton will talk about the world’s biggest challenges including global warming and the COP Agreement, ideas of a solution-focused approach, and investing process. Case studies will also be presented.
Mr. Norton is the Honorary Director and Trustee of CIVA, through which he has developed various innovative projects including a banking system for street children in South Asia, village publishing in India, and Changemakers, YouthBank, and MyBnk in the UK which provide opportunities to young people to become more engaged in the society. He co-founded UnLtd. to support social entrepreneurs and the International Centre for Social Franchising to help successful projects scale up. He also founded a new crowdfunding website, Buzzbnk, to raise money and support for social ventures.
