Population-level impact requires massive change to current systems that perpetuate inequitable outcomes.
Our research indicates there is an often unseen—yet highly effective—type of intermediary or collaborative that we call a “field catalyst” that works to mobilize and galvanize myriad actors across a social change movement, or field, to achieve a shared goal for equitable systems change. Many of society’s major social-change successes have benefited from their work.
So what does it take to play these “field catalyst” roles well? How do these lean actors change entire systems?
In this webinar, we’ll:
- Describe what field catalysts are and the unique role they play
- Surface lessons and advice from field catalysts for fellow change makers
- Share common challenges and ways to sidestep them
This webinar will be facilitated by Bridgespan’s Emma Nothmann and Kevin Crouch, co-authors of the recent article, “Field Catalyst Origin Stories: Lessons for Systems-Change Leaders”, and will feature guest speakers leading system change efforts in the US and around the world.
Note: We are hosting two webinars on “Lessons for Systems-Change Leaders” at two different times for audiences in different geographies. Each will feature different guest speakers.
