Profile of Discussion Leaders
Vidya Shah, Executive Director, EdelGive Foundation
Vidya Shah spent the first 11 years of her career in investment banking with companies like ICICI, Peregrine and NM Rothschild where she advised corporates in Capital Raising and M&A transactions. Prior to setting up EdelGive Foundation, Vidya was Chief Financial Officer of the leading financial services organisation – the Edelweiss Group where she also headed the Human Resources and Administration functions. Vidya is Executive Director of EdelGive Foundation, the strategic philanthropy arm of Edelweiss. Vidya serves on the India Advisory Group of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network and is also on the board of Masoom, an NGO working in Mumbai to impact students who learn while they earn.
Simon Chadwick, Chief Executive Officer, AVPN
Simon Chadwick is CEO at AVPN. He was previously a partner at a global private equity fund placement group and founded his own private equity advisory firm. Before that he worked for the Schroder Group for 12 years in a range of marketing, business development and management roles. He worked on a pro bono basis at Impetus Trust in 2005 where he supported the fund raising and business development of this pioneering, London-based venture philanthropy fund. He has previously lived and worked in Asia for 8 years.
