Speakers:
- Peter Winneke, author of Give While You Live, is a generosity and life legacy advisor with more than 20 years’ experience in strategic, impactful giving – establishing more than 100 philanthropic family foundations. As well as being the inaugural CEO of one of Australia’s largest grantmaking family foundations, Peter has served Australia’s philanthropy sector with The Myer Foundation, Sidney Myer Fund, The Catherine Freeman Foundation, Philanthropy Australia and the Reichstein Foundation. Prior to his two decades in the philanthropic sector, Peter spent 16 years’ in the corporate world specialising in insolvency, corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions. Many years of overseas travel to low-middle income countries during this time developed his passion for philanthropy’s ability to address injustice and create social change.
- Anna Skarbek is the CEO of Climateworks Centre, working to develop the low carbon economy. A former banker and climate policy adviser, Anna has led Climateworks since its creation in 2009, analysing emissions reduction opportunities and partnering with businesses and governments to unblock barriers to their implementation.
