AVPN is pleased to announce our partnership of the Responsible Business Forum on Climate Innovation, China, 23 – 24 May. Bringing together more than 400 global government, finance and business leaders, Global Initiatives will be hosting the event for the first time at Haikou, China.
The adoption of the Paris Climate Agreement calls for an unprecedented effort to reduce man- made greenhouse gas emissions based on nationally determined contributions and provides a roadmap for global transformation towards a zero-carbon, climate-resilient future. To deliver on this, all stakeholders must come together to accelerate and scale innovation and climate action.
In order to create cross-level, meaningful partnerships for climate action, this high-level forum will bring together multi-national companies, such as SIG, Interface, CLP, Alibaba, IKEA, and Mars, as well as global-drivers of sustainability, such as Rocky Mountain Institute, IPE, Stockholm Environment institute WWF and SEE Foundation.
RBF China will largely take the form of presentations and plenary discussion panels. The Forum will present cutting-edge climate innovations from large corporations, start-ups, cities and other stakeholders. Discussions will be structured around the partnerships, investments and policy changes needed to accelerate and scale these innovations for a climate positive future.
Delegates to the forum will have the opportunity to interact with such key players in the field through breakout sessions in Climate Innovation Working Groups. These Working Groups take a deeper look into the specific challenges and solutions from a sector focus perspective. Every working group includes presentations from innovative solution providers and discussions with an expert panel from international organisations, policy makers and companies. The roundtable discussion is structured around the partnerships, investments and policy changes needed to accelerate and scale these innovations for a climate resilient future.
We’re delighted to have you join us for the event.
