Climate action requires placing human beings at the canter as agents for change. The most powerful climate solution is rewiring education to transform the thinking, doing and acting for the planet.
Taking place during COP28’s Youth, Education and Skills Day on 8 December 2023 at Expo City Dubai, the second edition of the RewirEd Summit will focus on the intersection of rewiring education with achieving climate ambitions. The RewirEd Summit will bring together new and unlikely allies, uniting education and climate actors, and showcasing the incredible solutions at the nexus of climate and education from around the globe.
The Journey
On the road to COP28, the RewirEd Summit recently hosted a dinner at the Schools2030 Global Forum in Portugal in collaboration with Aga Khan Foundation, to highlight the significance of putting teachers at the heart of the education response to the climate crisis through our support for the Teachers for the Planet program. This momentum will continue, as the RewirEd Summit 2023 places educators at the centre of policy and practice for education and climate.
What’s Next?
Because education is everyone’s business, the RewirEd Summit is a platform for everyone from all countries, contexts and sectors to rewire education together. We are delighted to announce that the RewirEd Summit is now accepting proposals!
