The 2020 edition of the Reykjavík Global Forum – Women Leaders will be an interactive, digital event, taking place online on November 9 – 11 complemented by in-person, local gatherings called “Reykjavík Satellites”, to be held at Icelandic embassies and consulates around the world.
This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has further emphasized the need for greater women’s leadership and parity in decision-making, as women are disproportionately affected by it. Women leaders are stepping up to champion the response and recovery process.
The Reykjavík Global Forum will provide a unique and significant occasion for women leaders to Power, Together across sectors, to take stock of the new reality created by the pandemic, to share solutions for fostering greater parity in decision-making, and to shape sustainable pathways that can help societies worldwide to ‘build back better’.
With distinguished leaders including Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers, Parliamentarians, and directors from all around the world, the Forum aims to create positive measurable changes and help build back more sustainable and inclusive societies in the future.
Together, let’s make the future societies hold as many opportunities for girls and women as for boys and men.
The time for change is now!
