About this event

In urban India, 24 million low income households spend a disproportionate amount of their limited income on private sector education for their children. However most often hard earned income is spent on poorly trained teachers, crowded classrooms, and developmentally-inappropriate activities.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) has the potential to provide the highest return on investment for promoting economic growth. Children from low-income households often do not have the benefit of supportive learning environments at home and are therefore inadequately prepared for primary school. High quality early childhood education can bridge this gap.

FSG Inclusive Markets, a member of AVPN is currently working on a multi-year research program – Program to Improve Private Preschool Education (PIPE) with the objective of designing a framework that clearly supports affordable private schools in improving the quality of pre-primary education offered.

Through this session, you can expect:

  • Insights on ECE in and highlights on the research on affordable private schools
  • Future plans for scaling up and sustainability of the multi-year project
  • Ideas for collaboration and partnership with FSG to achieve the the desired learning outcomes by June 2021.

This is a by invitation only event.  Please contact dona@avpn.asia for any details.
