Putting more electric vehicles on the road is one of the key solutions to eliminating carbon emissions, especially in urban areas like Shenzhen. With strong policy support and advancements in charging infrastructure, technologies, and market development strategies, Shenzhen has successfully incorporated over 70,000 ELVs into their transportation system.

Join Ting Li, regional managing director of RMI’s China program; Zhe Wang, manager of RMI’s China program; ​​​​​​ Dave Mullaney, principal of RMI’s industry and heavy transport program; and Huiming Gong, senior program director of Energy Foundation China’s transportation program, as they provide an in-depth analysis of the strategies that have led Shenzhen to pave the path forward in ELV adoption and how these solutions can be scaled to other cities globally.
