This year’s conference is being held against a backdrop of increasing inequality and global uncertainty. Social Value International ‘s vision is a world where decision making, ways of working and resource allocation are based on the principles of accounting for value leading to increased equality and well-being and reduced environmental degradation.
Fundamental to this is our principle that those affected have to be involved and able to hold organisations to account for those consequences. This year we want to focus on what needs to happen to amplifying stakeholder voices to inspire change and maximise social value to the point that equality does improve. There will be a focus on how we can use social impact data to drive innovation and ensure stakeholder involvement in service design. We will be sharing experiences of what’s worked in changing culture, systems, techniques and legislation, running smaller group discussions and round tables so that we can all contribute.
This year our conference will be in Istanbul in partnership with Koç University Social Impact Forum, an international university located in Istanbul a city where the East and West meet, where a global perspective blends with the regional dynamics and cultures making it the ideal location. We will be hosted by Koç University Social Impact Forum, just outside the main centre of Istanbul and have the run of the facilities. This means we will be able to have many small group sessions, reflecting international and sector experiences and themed around principles, people, practice and power. Sessions will mainly be in English with some in Turkish.
Early bird tickets are now offered at a discounted rate of £130 for members and £150 for non-members. Early bird tickets can be purchased via eventbrite here.
