The Agri-SME Finance Deep Dive: Mobilizing Capital for Women-owned Agri-SMEs in Indonesia is an initiative to present a high-quality, investable pipeline of women-owned / -led agricultural SMEs (agri-SMEs) in Indonesia. Investors will have the chance to pursue capital-seeking SMEs via an online ‘deal room’ platform, and are also invited to attend a value chain dialogue and to participate in a networking week with SMEs. This initiative is sponsored and organized by a consortium consisting of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), GrowAsia, Just Rural Transition and CrossBoundary.
The programming recognizes that investing in women-owned / -led agri-SMEs in Indonesia can empower communities and contribute to an agri-food systems transformation, which is key to addressing the root causes of many environmental and social challenges. Driving capital into this segment presents a unique opportunity for investors looking to achieve financial returns together with social and environmental outcomes through their investments with gender lens. This is key to addressing the equity gap for women in the agriculture sector that continues to persist, as women often face discrimination in access to land, capital, inputs, information, and training.

15 Sept: Virtual Whole Value Chain Dialogue
22 Sept: Deal room platform intro and profile setup training for investors
26-30 Sept: Deal room networking week
Registration for the deal room will provide you access to investment opportunities and the value chain dialogue is also open-invite. The WBCSD consortium are inviting interested investors to participate in the networking week as well as 2-3 investors who would be willing to participate in a panel discussion during the value chain dialogue.
