Panel session with Q&A

Australia can be competitive and remain a major export economy as the world decarbonises. But the transition challenges are real, and the solutions go beyond what a single player can achieve alone.

Join our expert panel as they explore the complexity of the net zero transition for Australian industry, including the investment, leadership and energy system shifts required.

The panel will also discuss Australia’s unique chance to benefit from the solutions and opportunities that emerge as major trading partners seek to meet their mid-century emissions reduction targets.

Our panel includes:

  • Rob Kelly, Industry Lead and Program Director of the Australian Industry Energy Transitions Initiative at ClimateWorks Australia
  • Dr Chen Ji, a Principle in Rocky Mountain Institute’s China Program
  • Rachelle Doyle, Hydrogen Technology Lead at Fortescue Future Industries (FFI)

Your host is John Thwaites, Chair of ClimateWorks Australia and the Monash Sustainable Development Institute, and Co-chair of the Leadership Council – UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

The online event will be wide ranging, and consider the importance of timely action, as the world strives to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees. This event is produced by Written & Recorded.
